Sheldon “Shelly” Anderson, a life-long insurance professional, focuses on the needs of individuals, national companies seeking to secure the best insurance coverage at the economical cost.

Anderson, raised and educated in the Midwest, graduated from Wichita State University. Following in his father's footsteps he joined New York Life where he was an agent and manager. Management responsibility included the development and management of offices in Kansas City Missouri; Birmingham, Alabama; Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia and Madison, Wisconsin. He was named Regional Vice-President for Century Companies, an affiliate of CUNA Mutual.

Moving to Amelia Island in 1996, Anderson established the Anderson Group, an independent insurance agency, The Anderson Group.

Shelly and his wife, Dickie have six children and eight grandchildren. Dickie is a weekly columnist in the Fernandina Beach Newsleader and Executive Director of the Amelia Island Book Festival.
